Guest Designing for Whimsy Stamps!

 Good morning friends!

I was so excited to be asked to Guest Design for Whimsy Stamps. 

They told me to order a couple things and that was the hardest thing evah!!!

I did choose a couple things.  One, the cutest thing, will be shared here on the 13th.  

OMG. You WILL NEED it.  But, for todays post, I chose classic, reusable items.  Items that will go far in my stash as a scrapbooker and card maker.  

I chose the Bold ABC Dies Set and the Checkerboard Die.  The alphas can be used in so many ways.  I don't see them being too far out of reach for future projects.  The Checkerboard Die is a great background for any occasion.  You will see below how easy it is to change it for your needs.  

I think the best part about the Checkerboard Dies is the automatic confetti that is produced.  I think adding them to the inside of the card so when the recipient opens them, they fall all over is a grand idea!!  An extra surprise.  They may not like the clean up, but I would love the reaction!

Sunshine Cards - Elle's Studio

Man, do I love making cards.  Especially with the goodies from the Elle's Studio Kits each month. I make several to mail with my left overs.  But this month, I received making cards as my assignment!  I adore mixing colors and creating layers with different patterns of papers.  

Here are the two cards that I created.  Both from the SAME July kit but completely DIFFERENT!

Graduation and Rainbows - Queen & Co.

For my first card, I started with the Foam Front Die - Polka Dots.  I filled the circles with Toppings: Bubbles and Metallic to match my Metallic Bubbles that filled some of the holes.

I tiny sliver of yellow washi for pop and blue Cord and a Paper Smooches sentiment for the graduate.

For my second card, I layered rainbow papers and then the new Cord in a rainbow pattern.  I used the heart and love sentiment from the Heart Throb Shaker kit.   I literally only used one piece of paper for this card.  Its the rainbow sheet from the Fruit Basket 6x6 paper Pad.

Birthday Cards - Queen & Co.

Good morning!

Today I have two different cards created with the Birthday Bash Kit from the Queen and Company website!.  I really needed two different cards for May.  My mom and my aunt have the same birthday!  I really wanted to focus on the Pom Poms included in the kit so, I made sure to mix and match the colors to make them pop.

My first card, Happy Birthday was so fun!!!  The green Sparkle String just adds a touch of whimsy.  I do have to admit, the Twinkle drops dripping down the ice cream cone, was not my idea.  I 'stole' it from Wanda Guess.  It is such a clever idea!  

I used the Gloobers that are included in the kit, to add the smaller poms to the top of the larger ones.  Just be careful that you place the correct side of the paper back down on the glue that you do not use.  If you place the wrong side down, you will lose the rest of the glues.  They stick to the paper and you can not get them off.  Be sure to use the slippery side.  

For my next card, Make a Wish, I added two layers of foam behind my sprinkled paper, to obtain depth so that I could add my Poms, slightly under the paper. 

I also used to different patterned papers for the cake, giving it depth with foam behind the bottom cake layer.

Planting a Garden - The Rubber Cafe

It is the perfect time of year to start reaping the benefits of all the hard work you have put in to your gardens.  There is nothing like a fresh cucumber or greens.  The most beautiful vegetable out there has to be an eggplant.  Which leads me to why I am here.

The Echo Park papers are absolutely stunning and paired with the jewel tones of the Bazzill cardstock, the creations are bound to be beautiful.  

Here is my card.  There is nothing extra exciting about my card except the detail in the stamps.  I have no tips or tricks to show you, just plain beautiful papers and clean stamp images.

Hello, friend. - The Rubber Cafe

Here is Roman's favorite card of the month!
