Thanksgiving

November makes me think of all the things I am thankful for.  I watch as people post their daily "thank you's" on Facebook.  I envy those who can publicly announce what they are grateful for.  I am appreciative of so many people and for so many things, I need the whole year to announce them.  I am also afraid that I will forget someone.  I do feel blessed each and every day for my family and friends.  I am thankful for such a handsome, smart, well behaved young man and a devoted, loving, hard working husband.  I am thankful or my DVR too.  See, these are the things that I should not be listing:o)  I am grateful that today, my cousin called and wants to spend a holiday with my family.

I am blessed.

Here are a few things that I have created recently.   I am blessed to work from home and do something that I love and the ability to share with my peeps.

This layout was created using Farmhouse Paper Company.  The papers and stickers are from the Sugar Hill collection.  I added some Studio Calico wood veneers, Chic Tags and a tin from A Flair for Buttons.  I turned my veneers onto a new ink pad to achieve the dark brown color.

This tag is created using Sugar Hill too!  Can you tell I love it???  I cracked open the stamps for this tag for the Thanksgiving table.

Here are the complete layouts from the peeks that I posted a few days ago.  I must ask for your forgiveness in my horrible picture taking skills.  The days are just not long enough.  I have a dear friend who is probably cringing right now:o)

Well, this one isn't bad!  I used Authentique's "Thankful" Collection kit that can be purchased over at Eclectic Paperie!  Don't forget your adhesive when you stop over there.  I used Zip Dry to adhere my feathers!  Don't you just love the turkey sticker? Or do you love the feathers from Studio Calico? Or is it the "Keep Calm and Hunt On" tin from A Flair for Buttons?  Well, I am partial to the photo:o)

I do thank you all for stopping in.  Have a wonderful holiday and may you be blessed with family and friends.

Turkey hunting, Marine Corp ball and Santa Parade!

Back in October, Randy took Roman turkey hunting and this is a photo that he sent me through a text.

This is what I did with it.  I purchased these flair buttons through A Flair for Buttons.  OMG, I love love love them!!!  I used Authentique paper line with some old Thickers, and some really cool Studio Calico veneer feathers that I laid in my almost dried up stamp pad and pushed to get enough color for what I wanted.  Then I added them to the page.

Check out this really cool turkey sticker!

Soon, I will be working on the deer hunting pictures.  I NEED to use these flair buttons!  Oh my, they make me happy.

We also recently went to the 237th Marine Corp Birthday Ball.  Here are a few photos I wanted to share with you.  Look how handsome my men are.  I am a lucky girl.

Here is what I scrapped so far.  Need to upload the completed pages to share. These are what I instagrammed.

Today we marched or walked in the local Santa parade.  It was super fun.  Here is a fun photo from that.

Thanks for stopping in.

Joy to the World

Christmas is in the air!  And the Temperature, I can see my atomic clock from here and I  can't believe my eyes......26 degrees!  Yes, I have dug out my fuzzy socks and am sitting on the couch with my blanket, my laptop and my dog.  Sometimes I can not tell the difference between my blanket and the dog.  I think she is a bit cold too.  I have been playing a little lately and have finished my cards for classes that are approaching quickly.  Here is a little peek at what I have done with Echo Park paper, Queen & Co. pearls, Canvas Corps cards, May Arts ribbons and twine and some Whisker Graphics multi colored twine as well.  Head on over to these locations to reserve your spot and get your Christmas cards completed!

We weathered the hurricane rather well.  Roman and I were home alone and watched movie after movie over two days straight of pure rain and wind.  School was cancelled for two days and by the third day, I was  ready for it to be back in session.  Wednesday was a half day and Halloween was rescheduled until Saturday.  This is the second year in a row that Halloween was postponed.  No sweat for Obi Wan, we traveled to a local Air Force Base are treated with a friend.

Hope you got more treats than tricks!  I may have recently overdosed on Tootsie rolls:o)
