Scooter - The Rubber Cafe

It is my first card with the May Creative Cafe KOTM from The Rubber Cafe! 

 It contains beautiful travel papers from My Mind's Eye, including flair and coordinating stamps exclusive to The Rubber Cafe!  It also comes with coordinating cardstock, ribbons and twines.  

My first card is made with the stamp set that is included in the monthly kit.

For the LOVE of Kittens - The Rubber Cafe

Hi folks!  Just check out these super duper cute kittens.  I will take one of each please!  I am over at The Rubber Cafe today with another card.  Starting with an A2 card base of the shimmery pink, I added two other papers slightly smaller to the front of the card.  

I cut the white shimmer cardstock to a 3 1/4 x 4 1/2.  Setting the card aside and using only the white paper at this point, I masked the dog and balloon stamp so that I would only utilize the balloon.  I stamped gray ink and used silver embossing powder and set with a heat gun.  

Sorry for the bad picture!  After embossing, I colored my balloons randomly with a touch of Faber Castle Gelatos.  I used a blender pen to color these it to get the watercolored effect. The pink and red turned out to be too stark so once they dried, I reapplied white to the top to lighten the underneath colors a bit.

Once it dried, I backed it with foam and added it to the front of the card. I added my paper layering to the center of the card backed with foam again.  Colored and fussy cut my kittens, added a heart to the tush of one and I was done!  I did color these cute creatures with colored pencils.

Hello - The Rubber Cafe

I've got a pretty bird card over at The Rubber Cafe today.  

Birds usually aren't my thing but this guy was too pretty not to use.  

Hope you all have a blessed Merry Christmas.  We are pretty excited here.  Dickey the elf is back and wreaking havoc.  Family has been rotating through my house and I could not be happier.  I am grateful that people take time to spend moments with my little family.  

Merry Christmas.

Greatest Dad

I am starting with one of many Father's Day cards over at The Rubber Cafe.  For this card, I have used packaging to create a hidden pocket that will hold a super sweet picture of my son with his dad.  Head over to their blog for the breakdown and the shakedown:o)  Wow, you can tell it is getting late.

Get Well Soon

Man could I have used this colorful cheery card in the past 4-5 weeks!  I did get a handmade card from a friend, a beautiful bouquet of flowers from a group of friends and a care package full of yummies from another dear friend.  But, today I am sharing this happy card over at The Rubber Cafe!  Head on over to check it out!
