October Planning - mambi

This is this the first year that we are going ALL OUT with activities for Halloween.  We had a date night last week with an 'adults only' haunted house.  I am quite surprised that I survived being chased my a man with a chainsaw.  Anyway, for family fun, we had booked tickets to a trolley ride in Salem, MA (where the witches are)!  We also got tickets for a local park's Screamfest, last night we went to the Rise of The Jack-o-lanterns and Trick or Treat is on Halloween itself this year.  This CRAZY amount of fun requires diligent planning!  My layout looks busy, but there is still plenty of space for more tasks.

I have shared my planning layout on the me & my BIG ideas blog today with links to all the items that I used.

August planning - mambi

Obviously I am a theme girl.  Whether it be a color combination or a holiday, I love to coordinate goodies that make me happy.  Today, I started with turquoise and pink and just so happened to add a bit of purple!  (My son's favorite color!)

More details on the me & my BIG ideas blog today!

Purple peace out!

Teacher Appreciation - mambi

It is never too late to honor your kids teacher.  Good thing, because I am always late.
Here are the wrapped gifts my boys teachers received a week late for Teacher Appreciation week.
I wrapped them in the Expandable Paper Pad from me & my BIG ideas.  I used mambiSTICKS to embellish the gift tags.  Head to the mambi blog to see how it all came together.

mambi BLOG HOP

Welcome to the new 2016-2017 Happy Planner™ BLOG HOP
featuring posts by the me & my BIG ideas Design Team!

I’m excited to show you the style of my new Botanical Garden Happy Planner and share how I plan to use it come July.

I love fresh, clean, crisp paper and cannot wait to get into this planner.  It is seriously driving me crazy!
I plan to keep my cover clean.  I will be using the Elastic Bands to assist me with flipping to the month I am  currently in.

I plan to use the Pocket Folders and Sticky Notes each month and will move them at the end of each month to the next.

For each week, I will have a running grocery list or random to-do list that does not warrant documenting on the calendar pages.  I will also move the plastic Dashboard that will hold the super cute Sticky Notes.

Each week will hold a plastic Page Protector to capture some of my favorite photos of the week and Pocket Cards.  Maybe there will end up being two for each week.  Who knows.

I also used both of the Pen Holders.  Honestly, I could use more.  I did select my favorite pen and always need my pencil nearby.  Best thing about these, they can be removed from the cover and placed on a different one.  That way, if you can make up your mind on which cover you want, they will move!

I am saying all of this now, lol.  Hoping that I appear organized.  But, with crafting, things always change.  I think this is a great start for jumping off on July 1st.  I hope you will all be with me!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

September 7-14 - mambi

Good morning everyone.  As you have seen before, I like to start planning my week with a color pallet.  For this week, I chose washi tape that would blend well with the color of pages in my planner.  I did not want the morning, afternoon, evening words on my days, so I used a thin washi to cover that.  I used the bottom section as a place to decorate.  The top and middle sections were for the days activities.  This is what my week looked like when I was done.  The black peeking up from the right side is the next weeks decor.  I do move my folders around.  I love the black one and find that I use that the most.

If you would like to see more about my week in planning, please go to the mambi blog.  That is where I will be!

BOO - mambi

Good morning.  With halloween fast approaching, I thought I would share with you my most recent homemade project.  I have collected tons and tons of decoration over the years because I absolutely love this season!  My favorite decor is anything that contains the color orange, spiders, webs, cats, mice, rats and mums.  Maybe even a few skeletons.  I don't have many ghosts or witches.  Just keeping it real with everything else.  I pinky swore to myself that this year, I would not buy anything additional.  So, technically,  I stuck with that right?  When I came across this super cool frame for $2.48, it was not in the Halloween isle, nor is it specific to any holiday, so, it don't count!

If you would like more information about my project, or what items I used, you can head to the mambi blog  to see.

July Planner - mambi

Oh my, are summers crazy around here.  July especially.  With the 4th, Bible school, Sherrif's Academy, company and a party, I don't know how I would make it without my planner.  You should see how messy my grocery section of my planner is!  If my head is still in tact at the end of July, that will be a miracle!  How about you?  What is your busiest month and how do you organize it all?  Here is a glimpse of my non-messy section of my planner, lol!  Oh, all the empty days you see in the book, those are POOL days!  Didn't think you wanted to see that repeated 20 times!  If you need me for anything on those days, you will know where to find me.

Thanks for stopping in today.

Last Day 4th Grade - mambi

With all of the harsh winter weather we received here in New England, school is just wrapping up for the kids.  For my boy, he gets to escape a week early due to a yearly family camping trip.  Remember the planner post I did for camping?  I am happy to say that we have returned unscathed by the big black bears!  Matter of fact, we did not even see any.  Anyway, back to the layout at hand, this is of my boy on HIS last day of school.  Can you believe our towns last day was actually June 26th?  Isn't that crazy?

Here is the layout I created for my boy's last day June 19th!

Head over to the mambi blog for more details and to see a list of the products I used.

Camping Planner - mambi

Good morning planner peeps!  This may be my last post with you all.  I head to the deep woods of Maine, where the black bear roam.  I covered my gray hair in case of a bear attack so at least that will look good at my viewing!  We go camping every year, to the same place, with the same people at the same camp site.  We have seen bear, so I know they are watching me!  This year, I decided to document my families activities for each day.  The hours of hiking may vary depending on weather and our current body condition, but for the most part, I have it down to a t!  Most nights, we have a fun snack and go looking for moose at the near by lakes.  We call it moose hunting, but trust me, only cameras are involved.  Along with planning our activities, I also used the meal planner, to make sure everything is thought out in advance.  The grocery list is perfect too!   Both planners will be lying on my picnic table!  I can assure you they will be the only pretty things in a 5 mile radius!  Especially 5-6 days into the trip.  Wish me luck folks and hope I hope that you are inspired to plan out your vacation activities.

It has been fun.  Pray for me.  Pray that I can at least out run one person:o)  Just kidding.

Birthday/Anniversary Planner - mambi

If you are anything like me, you have many people important people in your life.  People you want to remember on special occasions, maybe birthdays and anniversaries.  I decided to take just the monthly sections of each month (not the weekly) to create a mini Birthday/Anniversary planner.  You can add a folder for each month to contain the birthday cards you have made or purchased to send to your family and friends.  Or, you could just keeping moving the folder to the month you are in to hold the cards.  This way, your folders can be used in your everyday planner for special keepsakes.

For this June Planner Spread, I started with the rainbow washi tape as a jumping point.  I brought in bright colored mambiSTICKS to adorn my page.  I added a few mambiSHAPES and mambiBANNERS too since the colors matched my theme.  Essentially, I used several mambi products that I had on hand that were not specifically made for the planners.  Why not!

Get organized people and this mambi planner is the perfect assistant!
