November planning - me & my BIG ideas

Hi there!  I am on the me & my BIG ideas blog today,
asking what do you think of when you think of November??  I think of falling leaves,
Thanksgiving, and this year, our family trip to see some friends.  I wanted to focus of browns and oranges.  When some of the Rose Gold washi's get paired together with the orange from the Neon collection, they take on a slightly different color.
It is fun to layer different washi tapes to bring out different styles.

For  more details on what I used for this month in my planner, details on how it came together and more photos, head to the mambi blog.

October Planning - mambi

This is this the first year that we are going ALL OUT with activities for Halloween.  We had a date night last week with an 'adults only' haunted house.  I am quite surprised that I survived being chased my a man with a chainsaw.  Anyway, for family fun, we had booked tickets to a trolley ride in Salem, MA (where the witches are)!  We also got tickets for a local park's Screamfest, last night we went to the Rise of The Jack-o-lanterns and Trick or Treat is on Halloween itself this year.  This CRAZY amount of fun requires diligent planning!  My layout looks busy, but there is still plenty of space for more tasks.

I have shared my planning layout on the me & my BIG ideas blog today with links to all the items that I used.

September 5-11, 2016 - mambi

Morning and welcome to my first week of September planner spread.  This is a huge week for my son and I.  It is his full week (minus Labor Day) of 6th grade and I have a simple surgery.  I decided to combine the two events in my Happy Planner with motivational words and practical documentation.

Although my planner looks full, there is plenty of room for additional sticky notes.  I will apply them directly to the top of the base stickers.  Unfortunately, I don't think I will be doing too much towards the end of the week so having the large mambiSTICK is perfect way to decorate the base of my page.

My to-do list is ever grown and I am running out of time.  I hope you are enjoying your planner as much as I am.  Thank goodness it helps me keep things in order and it looks pretty too!

It is on the me & my BIG ideas blog with links to the items I used.  You can buy them through mambi too.

August 14-21, 2016 - mambi

Ever have one of those weeks where you need to plan to plan?  Time slips away and you have to go back in time to complete the previous week?  That is what happened to me.  I blame it on Jimmy.  Jimmy Buffett that is.  What do you think of when you hear his name?  Sharks, cheeseburgers, parrots?  Sometimes you have to improvise.  I went with flamingos, pineapples, bright colors, glitter and tie dye.

My husband and I met twenty or so years ago when Jimmy was huge.  Every time I hear him sing, it takes me back to my early 20's.  So did hearing him last week!

Anyway, here is my planner spread for that week.

It is on the me & my BIG ideas blog with links to the items I used.  You can buy them through mambi too.

Teacher Appreciation - mambi

It is never too late to honor your kids teacher.  Good thing, because I am always late.
Here are the wrapped gifts my boys teachers received a week late for Teacher Appreciation week.
I wrapped them in the Expandable Paper Pad from me & my BIG ideas.  I used mambiSTICKS to embellish the gift tags.  Head to the mambi blog to see how it all came together.

Yup, that is my 11 year old boy, still sitting with the Bunny!
Be sure to scroll to the end.  The bunny is the best!

Happy Easter friends.

Last Day 4th Grade - mambi

With all of the harsh winter weather we received here in New England, school is just wrapping up for the kids.  For my boy, he gets to escape a week early due to a yearly family camping trip.  Remember the planner post I did for camping?  I am happy to say that we have returned unscathed by the big black bears!  Matter of fact, we did not even see any.  Anyway, back to the layout at hand, this is of my boy on HIS last day of school.  Can you believe our towns last day was actually June 26th?  Isn't that crazy?

Here is the layout I created for my boy's last day June 19th!

Head over to the mambi blog for more details and to see a list of the products I used.

Camping Planner - mambi

Good morning planner peeps!  This may be my last post with you all.  I head to the deep woods of Maine, where the black bear roam.  I covered my gray hair in case of a bear attack so at least that will look good at my viewing!  We go camping every year, to the same place, with the same people at the same camp site.  We have seen bear, so I know they are watching me!  This year, I decided to document my families activities for each day.  The hours of hiking may vary depending on weather and our current body condition, but for the most part, I have it down to a t!  Most nights, we have a fun snack and go looking for moose at the near by lakes.  We call it moose hunting, but trust me, only cameras are involved.  Along with planning our activities, I also used the meal planner, to make sure everything is thought out in advance.  The grocery list is perfect too!   Both planners will be lying on my picnic table!  I can assure you they will be the only pretty things in a 5 mile radius!  Especially 5-6 days into the trip.  Wish me luck folks and hope I hope that you are inspired to plan out your vacation activities.

It has been fun.  Pray for me.  Pray that I can at least out run one person:o)  Just kidding.

Mother's Day - mambi

On my dresser in my bedroom, I have a frame that says "no ordinary mom" that houses the bottom photo.  It has to be one of my favorite of my son and I.  I just love the cheesy look on his face.  He was only 2 at the time but I won't tell you my age:o)  One of the best things about mambi is that they create product that can be blended together.  For example, for the papers, I used four different collections to build my layout.  I also used two different sets of Pocket Pages™ for layering behind my photo, fussy cutting the heart and for the journaling part of my project.  I combined different mambiCHIPS along with a combination of letters.  In the scrapbooking world, anything goes!  If you like it, combine it.

Memories - mambi

With my husband retired from the Military and having been a part of it with him for many years, we have been away from family.  We would spend many holidays and life events with friends instead of our real family.  Now we are stationary now and not far from family.  We still have the habit, if you will, to make our friends like our family.  If we can not get together with the real thing, or even when we do, we still try and hang with our friends.  We are grateful for these two and their children.  This photo was taken at this past years, USMC ball.

This layout is made up of all things mambi with a little additions for decor.  Like I have said before, I try any chance I get to add pink to a layout.   These new papers from me & my BIG ideas are truly rich and beautiful.

I LOVE these glittery mambiCHIPS.  Wish they were mass produced!  I also need to point out the little tin flair that is in this photo.  It comes from a kit club by Felicity Jane.  It is stunning.  They little glittery gems you will see on the layout are from this too.

This Small Talk title from mambi was the inspiration for this layout.  I love what it says and created the perfect jumping off point.

Have a great day.
