My poor Boy! - Queen & Company

Morning and welcome to a glorious Sunday morning!
It snowed her last night and the ground is covered in white.  Its beautiful.  But so is lots of color!  Have you seen the What's New section of the website?  Have you seen that the Washi Tape Bundle, normally $19.95 is now $6.95??  Also, the Holiday Binder Bundle gives you LOTS and LOTS of embellishments for a ridiculously low price.

Like my last layout I did for Queen, I applied lots of Washi to my white base for color and pizazz!  I chose colors from the photo to use as the base.
It is bright.  But it is fun too!

Thanks for stopping in.
Head over to Queen & Co. and give it a look over.
Be sure to read my journaling on the page.  Poor kid.

Pumpkin Carving - Paper Issues

It is that time again where I create a mood board from inspiration on Pinterest.  It is called Pinspire Me Mood Board.  It is so fun.  Draw inspiration from anything in the board and create a project.  Upload it to the PIFF FB page and be entered to win a gift card to the Paper Issues Store.  Win win!  You can see more of the team designs on the BLOG today.

Every year, we carve pumpkins.  This was our first year carving without our chums.  My friend Kathy seriously should offer carving classes or carve professionally.  Although our carvings are not perfect or exciting, we have so much fun making the mess.  Some of us take it seriously while others pretend to eat it for the camera.  Sigh.

I used Simple Stories Simple Kit for my papers.  A touch of mambi washi and Tim Holtz rub-ons.  I couldn't help but add black gemstones to the spider bodies from Queen & Company.

Here is a peek at the mood board itself.

September Planning - mambi

I have my September month planned in my The Happy Planner.  It came together easy when I narrowed down my color choices and stuck to what I chose.  I am sharing before the pen and after it is complete, here and on the me & my BIG ideas blog today.  Head on over to see.

Recipe Planning - mambi

Good Morning! I know this is going to sound really crazy! I want to complete The Happy Planner Recipe Organizer for my son. I want to fill it full of our family favorites, so when he is older, he will have all his favorites with everything written in my handwriting. Let's just forget that he is only eleven. It is never too early to start, right? I wanted to keep it very very simple. The main reason is, he is a boy and if I make it too girly, I don't think he will appreciate it as much. His wife might, but I am not worried about her just yet! lol.

Here is what the organizer looks like!  You can check out the entire thing HERE.

You can also head over to the mambi blog to check out the details of my planning.

I decided to keep these post simple, clean and minimal.  Using just stickers and washi.

My friend Kathy is going to be thrilled that I finally wrote this recipe down.  I think I have called her for it at least 10 times.  Maybe I still will keep calling, make her feel needed:o)

Thanks for taking a peek!
