Imagination - Paper Issues

It is time for Swag Bag Spotlight on the Paper Issues blog today.  It was reset button for being out for almost 3 weeks.  This is truly my favorite goodie I get in the mail every month.  A small bag of coordinating product, just waiting to be played with.  I decided since the June Swag Bag was a little boy whimsical, I would play along with that theme.  My boy has a great imagination for being an old child.  He can play for hours with one thing.  Here, he filled his fathers's helmet with grass, flowers, greenery from my back yard.  How could I say no!  I used all the little things that made the layout look magical.  The dragon in a cloud, the rocket, and the little bearded guy. (Can't think of what he is called!)

Instead of using the 3x4 papers as they came, I sent the through my Silhouette with a alphabet cut file from Just Nick Studios and created a title!

Reminded:  You can use my code: Mary-Ann for anything, anytime in the Paper Issues store.  Reach $60 and get free S&H too.

Ghostbusters - Paper Issues

I tried my hand at a newer title challenge  over at Paper Issues called Working Title run by Amanda Baldwin.  For the May challenge, she asks that we bend our titles. Make it round, curvy or wavy.  A bright idea came to mind immediately!  I had asked my chum Mary Ann Jenkins to make me a Ghostbusters sign months ago and decided to finally use it!

Bub and I went on a date a while ago to see Ghostbusters.  He knows how much I love photos and photo props so he automatically walked over to the cardboard stand up.  I had no idea he would pose like this and act so goofy.  I love it when I don't have to beg.

I used left over bits from Carta Bella Space Academy and Crate Paper Cool Kid.  All still available in the Paper Issues store for 20% off with code: Mary-Ann.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland - Simple Stories

Hope you have your warm coats and boots out!  My projects today are going to transport you to a winter wonderland! Just briefly so I guarantee you will survive!

Have you seen the new Mistletoe Kisses from Simple Stories?  It is a perfect collection for documenting Christmas in a non-traditional color way or document fun in the snow, like I did with both of my layouts.  For my first project, the green polka dot paper was a little to bold for my snowy photos, so I white washed my trees with a little white paint.  This technique toned down the green and helped spotlight my photos.  Remember a while back when Simple Stories paired up with Just Nick?  Well, I ordered this Bare Tree  cut file.  I used it for a Halloween layout then, and now for a winter layout.   I did cut two different size trees.

Target - Paper Issues

I decided to play along with Becky Stidhams's large title challenge for the Paper Issues Crop that is happening this weekend.  You have one week (until Sunday the 20th) to submit all 15 challenges and winner will be announced on Monday the 21st.

I used Alex by Bella Blvd, a cut file from Just Nick Studios and acrylic Pokemon pieces from Colorcast Design.  Target really did good when they painted their red cements balls out front to resemble Pokemon Pokeballs.  They only last a few weeks but we were sure to make our way their for this photo opt!

Cannonball - Fancy Pants

It is Fun in the Sun week over at Fancy Pants.  I decided to use the Life is Beautiful collection instead of reverting back to the amazing Summer Sun or Making Waves.  I think it worked!  Check it out on the Fancy Pants Blog.  Thank you to Justnick for the really awesome Alpha cut file!

Paper Issues has lots of Fancy Pants collections for 20% off when you used code: Mary-Ann.

Hey DAD - Fancy Pants

With Father’s Dad fast approaching, (and because I got my hands on Good Fellows) I thought I would pay tribute to my dad: a man who raised me like his own.  It is no often that I can capture a photo of my dad smiling.  I have a few more of him grinning like a kid at Disney last year too!  This particular photo was taken at my nephew’s graduation last year.  When I realized my dad had this big ole smile behind me a selfie was a must!

Head over to the Fancy Pants blog to see the layout in its entirety.  This week, FP has teamed up with Just Nick Studios to bring some cut files to the page!  It is a good one!  I used the brand new Good Fellows collection, and I love it!

Oh, you can grab this collection over at Paper Issues for 20% off with code: Mary-Ann.  You can use the code on anything in the store.
