I Love What You Do

Over at Paper Issues, they have a Link called:  Sketchy Saturday Link Party.  It is pretty cool.  Anyone can participate and upload their layouts or creations based on the sketch,
to the link with an opportunity to win a $10 gift card!
They will also share Design Team inspiration to help you get motivated!
I have taken the sketch and turned it upside down:o)
I wanted my heavy strip of paper from the sketch, down on the bottom of my layout, so I flipped it.
I let the polka dots that were already on the Glitz Designs paper, replicate the paper strip from the sketch.  I then layered, very similar to the sketch and added my embellies.  I just loved these photos of my son, so intent on painting his pirate ship.  He did a great great job.  Who knows, maybe someday you will  be able to say, "I knew him when...."

Here is the sketch...

This was tons of fun.  Having a sketch can definitely be inspirational.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Be sure to head over and upload your interpretation.  Oh and don't forget to use this code for 20% off Everything in the store!!!

Schools Out For Summer - The Cut Shoppe

Today is my very first post over at The Cut Shoppe.
The challenge over there, is to use digital cut files on your projects.  I say challenge, because I have just recently really started getting my Cameo machine dirty!  However, with such awesome cut files from over at the ETSY store, you'll wanna use them on everything.  Go HERE to take a look.
Here is what I created....

Here are the files that I used on this project.

Stop on ever at the BLOG or the ETSY store and check everything out!

People who love to eat - The Rubber Cafe

November's Creative Cafe Kit of the Month by The Rubber Cafe is out and it is super cute.
This little gal (from the main kit), made her way to one of my cards.  While adding brown paint splotches to my card, I dropped the brush and a little more than I wanted, went all over my card.  But, see that little splotch that landed on her apron?  Perfectly placed!  Looks like she made a mess in the kitchen.  So, I left it.  As is.

The Nutmeg and Paprika blocks are from a sheet of paper included in the Echo Park Made from Scratch 6x6 paper pad, UBER cute!

Stop by next Wednesday for my next card with the Creative Cafe KOTM.

YOU - A Flair for Buttons

I recently created this layout of my boy turning 9, from last year!  I wanted to use this super awesome map paper and wanted everyone to know that he was the center of my world, get it?  See the numbers at the bottom?  1-9, stopping at 9 because he is.....9!!!  Get it?  My husband didn't.  I had to explain just as I am now, lol.

This layout is up over at A Flair for Buttons.  It wouldn't be complete if it weren't for these flair.  They help emphasize the month and the fact that he is super cool.  Head HERE to purchase flair for yourself.

Thanks for stopping by.  See you soon.
