Splish Slash - Fancy Pants

Remember me saying that I was on a mission to document a fun summer day from last year?

Well, I am working very hard at it.
I have got another layout with what I think is the "photo of the day!"

I used the wicked fun Poolside collection from Fancy Pants to document this photo.
It has the perfect embellishment to accompany what I had in mind.

In the photo below, you can see the small shark fins.  I used a small punch and the sheet of paper from the 6x6 paper pad.  The details in the 6x6 are a much smaller scale, which was perfect for collection fins for this layout.

This is the Life - Fancy Pants

Morning!  I am on the Fancy Pants blog today.
We are in the mood to splash and splash around here but the weather is not cooperating!  The pool is open and the kid has his bathing suit ready.  Instead of getting fun photos for this year, I reverted back to last year and a fun day we had with friends at the beach.  The Poolside Collection from Fancy Pants is not just for pools!  I have used it for 2 different beach layouts and could keep going!

You can see here that I topped the patterned paper with a FREE cut file from Paper Issues.  I used the Wheel from the Seas The Day File.  I backed some of the openings with the 6x6 paper pad, but I ended up covering most of that.

If you look close, I used Nuvo from Paper Issues to add detail to my splashes of water.  I used it on all of the water pieces and in the center of the flowers.  It may not translate well here, but in real life, it looks super cool.

So, if you don't have any pool photos, grab out those beach photos and get to documenting!

Crab-y - Paper Issues

I am on a mission to document one of the best days of last summer.
We spent the day at the Short Sands, with the Mastro's.
We dug in the dirt, made a castle, buried people, splashed in the waves, boogie boarded and more.

 Oh, we caught crabs.
There is a little inlet with beautiful rocks when the tide is low.
We went over there and searched for crabs and pretty shells.  Not to keep, but to see.
So, us girls found the crabs.  The boys came over and took pictures like it was theirs.  It wasn't!

For this layout, I used a fun challenge from Paper Issues.  It is called...

You must place all your goodies on the top 1/3  of the page, leaving 2/3 open.
You must play along by June 3rd.

I used 2 Fancy Pants collection.  The NEW Poolside and mixed it with the old Making Waves.
