RED SOX

Of course everyone has their own favorite ball teams.  We here in the Maldonado house hold, root for all New England teams: Bruins, Patriots, Red Sox.  My boys were lucky and went to a Red Sox game last year and I was lucky enough to receive some really cool baseball flair to spruce up my layout.  I started with the "Antiquary"monthly club kit club from Studio Calico.  Threw in random Teresa Collins word strips, Studio Calico Tags, Whisker Graphics twine and some Freckled Fawn paperclip arrows.  This layout was super fun!  The bright colors highlight the excitement on my boys faces.  They just really enjoy doing anything together.

I used wet adhesive to attach these clear acetate letters.  Covering the entire back with a wet glue, makes it so you don't see any adhesive.

Didn't want to part with baseball flair.  It is my fav.  I anchored it with a circle.  The dark blue border helps the white flair pop off the white paper.

Here you can see how I buckled my word strips to provide additional dimension to my layout.

If you look closely at the photo, in the upper left corner, you will see photo bombers.  I cleverly placed a word bubble with word strips and voila, they were gone!

Thank you for stopping in today.  I hope that you are inspired to throw some flair on your next layout.

Obsession

Hello there!  I have had the opportunity to create another layout with the very versatile paper line from Glitz Design.  My local kit club has given us quite beautiful things to design with recently.  I can not wait to see what will be in next months kit:o)  I incorporated a cut from my Silhouette - the title, Obsession!  I also cut my triangle background and used the cuts as the corners of my page.  I added stitching, ribbons and a few pins from MME and Maya Road.  Of course there are some Studio Calico veneers in there too along with a couple of Canvas Corps tags.  See the purty sequence?  They came from Michaels!  I found myself a whole array of colors in the t-shirt section.

My boys shoes come off his feet and go right where they belong.  All his books have a place so he knows where to find them.  Look at the tub next to him, see how he is organizing his magnets.  This makes me cry with happiness.  Why can't his dirty clothes ever hit the hamper?

Look what I have to put up with!!

Until next time....

LOVE THIS

We are ready for summer here.  We have had 7 snow days this winter and are ready for a change in temp!  I have been playing with this months kit from Ink About It.  I loved the colors especially the yellow goodies.  This line is so versatile and I just adore the Rhinestones!  I added some Studio Calico wood veneers and My Mind's Eye enamel dots for a tab more embellishments.  See the "Love This" cut from my brand spankin new Silhouette!  Again, I need a person so show me the ins and outs of this thing.  I am sure I will never use it to its fullest potential but I am gonna give it a try!

We have moved our patio furniture out to the patio.  My husband even put the pool skimmer on the fence.  I laughed because it is at least another month before that opens, but I think he is ready!!  My tulips are 5 inches high and my hosta have broken ground.  I am ready!  Bring on the warmer weather! Hoping that with most of the houses built out back now, the wind will not be as strong and I can scrap outside this spring.  Cross your fingers!
