Super Fun - Paper Issues

Today is one of those days where I am on two different blogs with the same layout.  It just worked out perfectly in this situation.  I needed to document my boys trip to the Pats game from this year.  Paper Issues was having a Roll the Dice challenge where dice are rolled to determine how many photos then how many of an embellishment.
For this month, it was 4 photos and 4 words in a title.  I actually had to narrow down my photos but struggled with the title!!!  I used Becky Higgins Project Life stuff for my layout.  It is available on the Paper Issues store for 20% off with code: Mary-Ann.

It is also on the A Flair for Buttons blog today.  I used custom flair for this project.  Go HERE to see the blog and HERE will take you directly to the store filled with amazing flair.

Military life

Good morning, today I am sharing a project life layout over at eclectic Paperie.  Sometimes keeping it simple in my world is just what the doctor ordered.  With my husband spending 21 years in the USMC, we are pretty obsessed with anything remotely connected to the military.  Whether it be nerf guns, army men, history or books about war, you can be assured that the boys in my family are interested.  This layout depicts how my breakfast table could look like on any given day.  I just created this layout but the pictures are from 2011.  Keep in mind, that I could duplicate this exact same layout with the exact same pictures with a kid that is just a tad older now!

I really enjoyed taking a larger photo and chopping it up to fill 4 of the pockets for project life.  This army man photo works perfectly because you don't have to worry about cutting a persons face down the center.

I had a few extra pieces from the Fancy Pants ephemera pack that coordinated with my photos.  I added them to various pockets.  A few drops of Dylusions green ink and machine stitching and my layout was done.

Thank you for taking a look at my project and hope to see you all again really soon.

I Love Science

I think grandparents purposely give children presents that they would never of given their own kids!!  You know, things like drum sets!  My parents arrived after Romans birthday with a Science Experiment book.  Yes, fun to look at!  Not fun to clean up after.  However, I must say some of the things we did were really interesting and fun! We stripped a raw egg of its shell, we changed the colors of pennies, we layered liquid and learned about density, some of us (not me) foamed at the mouth with baking soda!  We even tried to suck an egg down into a bottle.  That we were not successful at.  Of course I lingered around while all these experiments occurred, I couldn't miss it!

Not long after playing with science, I had some really cool cards in my recent Project Life kit from Studio Calico.  They matched my vision perfectly!

You can tell from this photo, just how much fun my boy was having.  The flair from A Flair for Buttons, works perfectly.

Thanks for stopping in.  Next project, exploding a bar of Ivory Soap in the microwave!  I have a board on Pinterest, with just Science Experiments if you want to check it out!

Designing for the Rubber Cafe

Hey guys, I am excited to announce that I have been invited to design for The Rubber Cafe

For my first post over there, I have taken the Cafe Creations kit of the month and created a project life spread.  It is a leap but I hope it is well received.  Wish me luck.  You can head over there for the complete tutorial, if you enjoy the PL layout, please make a comment!

I need to point out that coffee ring..... isn't it darling?  It is my favorite of the whole bunch!  I will be using it and using it over and over again in the future!

I really enjoyed experimenting and doing something different with the card kit.

Thanks for popping in.

December Daily 9-11

December has passed by me quicker than I would have liked.  My house is cleaned and now I am in a re-organizing mood.  There is no stopping me.  With that, I have very little time to do anything else.  We had a revolving door here for about 2 weeks straight.  I am soooo tired of stripping that guest bed:o(  But, I would not like the alternative.  Clean bed means no company, that's not good.  Anyway, I have a new cabinet for my scrap room and I can not seem to get it organized the way I want.  I will, eventually.

Here are a few of my December Daily pages....  This is December 9th.  Most of my DD is created with the Studio Calico goodies.  I did bring in some random leftovers from Webster's Pages, Simple Stories, Teresa Collins and lots from October Afternoon.  Oh, and some really yummy Freckled Fawn!

This deer head has to be one of the cutest.

December 10th.....

I added this fair to the top of my page protector.  Love the white embellies on the blackness of my background

Ok, I LOVE this tree:o)

December 11th.....

Shoot, I forgot to add my really cute stickled numbers for the date, until after I photographed everything, now it is too dark!  Darn New England.

I LOVE these deer!  Can you tell I am lovin' deer?

TFL,
Mary-Ann

Dec 7th & 8th

I am WAYYYYYY behind with my December Daily (DD) but am keeping up with pretty much everything else.  I have come to the conclusion that I will not be baking for me neighbors this year.  I always do.  I am running out of time.  I have heard that from so many people this year.  Where did that week go after Thanksgiving.  I need it back!!

Here is December 7th.  Not all days are about Christmas.   I tried to make this about the other activities that my boys partakes in.  There is so much crammed into 25 days its cray cray!
He also went to a Festival of Trees.  Apparently you buy tickets, drop them in a bucket and hope to win that tree.  He didn't win his favorite, thank goodness, what would I do with this tree of Spongebob stuff??

This picture makes me happy, a bunch of boys having fun.  At someone else's house!

December 8th......
I was bored at hunting and fishing store.  I felt that something was behind me!  Dickey took a break from his craziness and hung out with Baby Jesus for the day.  The picture of Roman and Santa is one of my favorites.  This was taken back in November but needed to be included in the DD.

Thanks for stopping in to see my fun DD.  Hope to share more soon.

December Daily

Today, I am featured over at A Flair for Buttons blog with some of my December Daily photos.  I have shared a few of them with you so far but wanted to catch you up on the other daily pages I have made since my last post.  I will also catch you up on Dickie the Elf and on how I organized my December Daily products.

Here is my double layout for December 5th.

December 6th.

This was our Christmas card this year.

For those of you who are tired of hearing of our elf, please ignore this part of the post.  We are having so much fun with this little guy.  Dickey has brought excitement into our home daily.  With the festive cooking, shopping and decorating, this time of year is purely magical.  Christmas with young children is such a joy and we are making every moment count.

For those of you who are doing December Daily, how are you organizing?  This is working for me.......  I just wish that elf would clean after me each night:o)

Here you can see that I have small cigar boxes inside of larger boxes.

These small metal cups from an old bakery were a score!

Love these colors, the cup and the new techniques I have learned.

Thanks for stopping in folks.
