Morning! I am playing along with the Won't you be my Neigh-bor Scrapbooking Challenge over at Paper Issues FB Page. You can play along, by entering a submission that fits under the rules of this category and be entered to win a prize. 'With all the current lines coming out with horses and houses we thought it would be fun to have a challenge themed towards that!! Got a special horse in your life? Just want an excuse to use all those houses...this is the perfect opportunity!'I used Crate Paper's Sunny Days collection. Not sure why, but I cut a partial circle from the bottom right of the page, but I thought it would be different and a little fun. Since the challenge was about 'houses' I loosely went off of that as inspiration. Our house is our happy place and we love when the pool opens for the summer. So, thats my reasoning behind using a pool photo for this challenge. It is however you like to play along and what inspires you.

Chick Flick - Paper Issues
Morning PI friends.
Today is a special kinda challenge. It is called MOM turned upside down is WOW! (click on the highlight title to head to PIFF, where you can play along.)
It is celebrating moms. Because May brings us so many things to celebrate — moms, mom figures, role models and flowers. Or, you could focus on mom duties, mom stuff, kid stuff, etc. Just play along. If you dare, turn things upside down!
I decided to celebrate my friends. My mom friends.
Heading out together for a chick flick.
Escaping the hum drum at home.
I used a FREE cut file - Floral Window Frame, the April Swag Bag and this fun challenge.
Head to the Paper Issues Store to grab what you need from the shop and play along with all the new May challenges.

Blueberries Aren't Blue - Elle's Studio
Hey there!
Ever think to yourself, 'how can that possibly be?' Well, my mom and I had a recent discussion after getting purple blueberry ice cream. We both know that blueberries can be blue, but mostly they are purple. So, we decided they shouldn't be called blueberries. Maybe purple berries! Who came up with the work pajamas? Or scrumptious? I could go on. It would take all day and with all the amazing goodies in the April Kit and add-ons, we don't have time for that, do we?!
Supplies: April Kit, Shapes & Dots Puffy Stickers, Butterfly & Flowers Puffy Stickers, Large Jane Alpha Stamps and Steel Craft Dies, Large Jane Number Stamps and Steel Craft Dies, Go See Do Acrylic, Days of the Week Phrases, Family Fun 3 & 5, Noteworthy 2, April Mom Cut file.
I knew I wanted to create a play on colors with the blue and purple. So I made sure to layer both colors every time I used them. Behind the Large Jane Alphas, around the entire layout as a base and under the Mom Heart Cut file.
About the Mom Heart cut file... I only wanted to use the heart part of the file. So, I released the compound path and only used the outer part of the heart. Releasing it from the text on the inside. I cut the heart 3 times, decreasing in size by 1/4 of an inch each time.
Along with the blue and purple, I added the beautiful raspberry color that is throughout the April kit. The Butterfly and Flowers Puffy Stickers had the cutest florals so I had to add them to the date clump at the bottom of my page. Adding this, lead me to adding the 3x4 floral tag from the April Kit.
I trimmed down the floral tag and tucked it in behind my photo. Then, I layered with the Days of the Week Phrase sentiments for a little more detail for my story. Not only does my title depict a story, but I added journaling to the top left corner of the layout to remember the moment for years to come.
