Adventure - Fancy Pants

Ok, I really had a hard time narrowing down my photos for this layout idea!!!  Problem is,  I wanted to clump a ton of photos all on one page!  I think it is successful because of the On Or Way Collection.  I know it seems like lots of patters, layers, photos and cut files, but it works for me!  I like busy.

The station wagon cars included in the ephemera pack are not what we drive nowadays, but I think it is a fun play on telling the story that we drove for this trip.

Check out this FREE Cut fIle from Paper Issues, it was specifically designed to go along with the On Our Way Collection.  You will not believe how many different works and files are actually included in this one FREE file!

Thanks for stopping  by.

Love - Queen & Co.

Good morning!
I am here today with a fun layout using the Bug Jar and Love Jar kits from Queen & Co.  They were made to coordinate perfectly with each other.  The Love Jar Kit provides the jar and the Bug Jar Kit provides new jar covers, Toppings, and embellishments to match.
I played with the title of my layout and used a full jar of goodness as the 'O' in Love.
Then I stamped and die cut flies, die cut vellum and layered those together to soften the look of the black bugs.
I wanted to emphasis flowers on the side of the photo to offset the heaviness of the Jar in the title.  I clumped several different styles together to match the color of my boy Milford and his eyes.
Thank you for stopping by today.  I encourage you to use your shaker kits on a layout page.

Field Day - Fancy Pants

Fancy Pants collaborated with PageMaps for a fun change for the Design Team.  We were assigned a sketch and were asked to use Fancy Pants products.

Here is the Sketch...

I used Family & Co. for my layout and had fun documenting my boy at his preschool field day.  Unfortunately, as happy as he looks in these photos, later in the day he wasn't so thrilled.  His little pal fell on him and he broke his arm.  Poor kid.  We realized something was wrong after 10 days, he could not sword fight with his Dad!  #truestory!  Actually, at the time of the fall, he had X-rays and the break did not show up.  AND - I was out of town for the weekend!!

I did shrink down the sketch a bit, made my papers smaller and used horizontal photos instead of 4 vertical ones.

Bug Jar Kit - Queen and Company

Good morning Q&C friends.
Mary-Ann here!  I was so excited to receive the Bug Jar Kit in the mail from Queen and Company.  I have so many ideas!  It perfectly coordinates with the Love Jar Kit, it just adds additional embellishments for it.  I had to do something with the black and yellow bees!  Wouldn't you?
I started with base colors that would match my tiny bee ToppIngs.  I decorated with a few bees and lightly filled the jar with coordinating Toppings.

For my second card, I stared with wanting to create a blanket for a picnic but it turned into this instead!  It looks like my jar fell over, releasing all of the beautiful ladybugs.
The clouds are from the Nested Cloud Dies.  To cover my glue dots from the vellum, I carefully placed Starbursts and Epoxy Dots.
Thank you for stopping in today.  Hope you are having as much fun with these two kits as we all are!

Rainbow Looms - Paper Issues

Morning!
Mary-Ann here.  Are any of you having fun with the new Craft a Rainbow Challenge over at Paper Issues?  I think it is one of my favorites.   All you have to do is create something with the rainbow colors.  Or even just a portion of the rainbow.  I went all out with a whole lot of rainbow!!!

I used the Shimelle - Box of Crayons collection.  Remember when Rainbow Looms were all the craze?  Well, my boy was all over it and could make some pretty amazing things with the small rubber  bands.  I was pretty impressed.  Impressed that he could spend hours creating with it too.  He must get the creative gene from me, for sure!

Love Lives Here - Fancy Pants

Hey there!

I loved the Magnolia Moments  from Fancy Pants so much, I created two layouts for this months assignments.  We recently visited my grandparents.  It reminded me how people used to just pop in to each others homes.  We still drop by my grandparents home.  They are always there and always welcoming.  I snatched this photo of my boy with his great grandparents.  (BTW, they are 91 and 92 and have been married over 75 years, WHAT!!!)

Keeping all the small embellishment to the left of the layout, created a fun effect and draws your attention to the reds in the photo.  Which is the people!  The important part, right?!
