You & Me against the world!

You & Me against the world, is a perfect title in my house this week.  Ever have those times when you just have to pull together are count your blessings?  May times, they are right beside you.  I think this little sentiment will be encouraging to my husband Monday.  I am going to close it into his laptop and when he opens it, it will be a pleasant surprise!  It's better than jumping out of a cake!!!

The color pallet is soft and inviting.  It can be given today, or to your valentine.  There are endless possibilities to these nesting hearts.  I believe they will be holding glow sticks for Valentine's Day at school in a couple weeks!  The nesting hearts and sentiment are both from Wplus9 which can be purchased by clicking here.  Yes, they are perfect for Valentine's Day, but I can see them on a thinking of you card, a note to a friend, a card of encouragement or even on a scrapbook layout.

I hope this card encourages you to send a note to someone important in your life today.

Thanks for stopping in.

December Daily finale!

Halleluja, Halleluja!!!
I am done with my December Daily!  I just finished today.  24 days into January.  I don't think that is too bad.  Heard from a friend today that she has two unfinished December Daily's!!!  Here is a refresher of what my cover looked like and then I'll share with you the pages that I recently finished.

I still may add a few pages at the end of Dickey, our Elf on a Shelf.

I think this one here is my favorite.  I love the red and  blue.  Or maybe it is the presents!!

Thanks for stopping in and humoring me by looking at something you should have looked at a month ago!  I will  be better next year.  I will!

Survival of the fittest!

I survived the Zoo sleepover with very little sleep.  Someone amongst our group of 30 must have sleep apnea or some sort of blockage in their throat that prevents them from breathing normally while sleeping!  We slept in the Tropical section in the classroom.  We went on a flashlight tour and saw lots of bats and birds.  When they told us to be quiet and we could hear the bats, Roman says to me, "I didn't sign up for this!"  I wanted to agree but, I WAS the one who signed us up.  The next morning we did get to see what I was looking for, the gorillas.  And, yes, they do have more hair on their legs than me.  Did I mention the night before we almost got killed in Dorchester?  I think they may have sold more than just sandwiches at the joint we stopped by.  Just guessing here.  The next morning, I kept looking for Marky Mark, but I think he got outta dodge!

Here are some photo highlights from the trip.  We took a back stage tour, I can not fully describe to you the odor that permeated through that building.  I think I still smell.  It is by far one of the worse smells ever.  Here is what the kitchen was filled with.  Various buckets of food.  Not somewhere where I want to break bread.  Wonder if they have the 3 second rule?

Roman was exhausted, this was about 11pm.  He thought he could spread out over our Sealy Tempurpedic cots!

Well, there's not much I can say here.  I felt the urge to buy some bag balm.

Roman riding the platypus.

Roman and the Mandrill!  I think it would have been better if we could have seen both of their bottoms!

Family photo, we were still talking the next day!

This is the 2 yr old baby gorilla.  She was as cute as ever!  It was the highlight of my excursion.

Anteater.

Randy made a new friend.

The boys thought this was funny!  So did we!

Thanks for stopping in!

More LOVE!

Been working on some Valentines!  I love this time of year.  Ya get cooped up because of the cold weather, I don't feel guilty spending a tad more time in my scrapbooking studio.  Ha, I called it a studio!!!  Its actually a room.  A pretty small room.  Studio and this room should not be mentioned in the same sentence.  I think that I am going to make Star Wars Valentines with glow sticks for Roman's class.  I believe I saw something on Pinterest.  Below are my two favorites.  I tried to keep them simple with doilies, wood veneers from Studio Calico, twine and left over paper from Crate Paper and Authentique.  The first photo is before I decided to color my veneers with a red marker.  I think I like it better.
Tonight is the big sleep over at the Franklin Park Zoo.  Big birthday party to attend first, then gotta ditch the dog and head to see where we found Roman, the monkey section of the zoo!!!  Wish us luck, it is with a bunch of Boy Scouts!

Getting ready for LOVE!

I have finally stopped creating for CHA and have  been working on an upcoming class that I will be teaching locally at Ink About It and Wholly Scrap.  I just adore Crate Paper and loved the colors of their newer line "Fourteen."  I HAD to add some tins, or buttons, or badges!  Whatever you call them, these are from A Flair for Buttons.

I am hoping to share some of my CHA creations with you soon.  Need to take the time to edit the photos and get my "stuff" together.

tata,

CHA peek numero dos!

Just look at those colors!  I am not normally a fan of houndstooth.  Usually its on some type of fabric, but here, it is shrunk down to a 6x6 paper pad and is absolutely fabuloso!

I would LOVE to take credit for what you are about to see, but I can not.  Wait, I can take credit for the scale in the background!  Bought it with my own hard earned money for my friend Angela for Christmas.  She has gone and created something oh so fabuloso!  Then, used the scale to display such beauties.  I think I need a vacation to some exotic place to better use my byligualness.  Yes, that is a word in my vocabulary.  This is why I DO NOT home school:o)

It is called, Country Kitchen.  It will be shipping in March over at Farmhouse Paper Company.  Check it out and be sure to tell them that I sent ya!

Its been 3 1/2 yrs. since we have moved in this house after Randy retired from the USMC.  If he were still in, it would be about time to move.  So of I figured, instead of moving, I'll just rearrange!  So off I go to rearrange a bedroom!
