You are my Happy - Paper Issues

Hello there!

I started this layout with a bunch of tiny photos.  Mostly because I look horrible in them but also because the quality of most selfie photos are not great if you enlarge them too much.

The story behind these crazy photos is......my boy was trying to make my husband mad.  He was away at the time and Bub wanted him to see he was sleeping in his bed and so was the dog!  I really needed coffee at this point.  I remember it being early.

Over on the Paper Issues blog today, the team is using different FREE printable on our projects.  One of our talented designers on the team creates a free printable every month.  These are always free and always available to anyone.  Lets look at the one I used.

Here is my layout using this June FREE printable.  You can go HERE to take a look at all the FREE printables.  You can download them all at once if you want.  Add them to the cart and check to for free.

You can see that I cut up the printable.

I used several of the Seven Paper's from the Paper Issues store.  Go HERE to check them out.
Use my code: Mary-Ann for 20% off your entire order.
Thanks for dropping by.

Snow fall - Paper Issues

Just the other day, I mentioned that things were changing around Paper Issues.  Well, not the Product Spotlight theme.  The Design Team is given a product and we all design with it to show you several different ways you can create with the same stuff.  For this challenge, we were asked to use anything by Studio Calico Seven.  That left a wide variety of lines to choose from.  I chose Felix, since I am still in a wintery mood and we just got snow.  Like, JUST!  That never happens.  We always have snow by now.  Kinda crazy.

Here is a look at my layout.  We walked out of the Star Wars movie to this white bliss.  I love it!

Thanks for stopping in.

September 7-14 - mambi

Good morning everyone.  As you have seen before, I like to start planning my week with a color pallet.  For this week, I chose washi tape that would blend well with the color of pages in my planner.  I did not want the morning, afternoon, evening words on my days, so I used a thin washi to cover that.  I used the bottom section as a place to decorate.  The top and middle sections were for the days activities.  This is what my week looked like when I was done.  The black peeking up from the right side is the next weeks decor.  I do move my folders around.  I love the black one and find that I use that the most.

If you would like to see more about my week in planning, please go to the mambi blog.  That is where I will be!

Apples - Paper Issues

Good morning.
Over at Paper Issues, we are having a New Issue Monday.  It gives you a chance to be inspired by a theme.  There are many different variants of the theme.  This time it is, Fan-atics.  Pretty much, show us what you are a fan of.  Sports team, collection, TV show, whatever.  I chose to share how much we love apples.  Mostly apple picking.

It is not very often that I start a layout with a huge photo.  I wanted to try something new.

I used Photo Play - Autumn Day along with a touch of Simple Stories enamels and brads, Doodlebug's mini Doodle Pops and Studio Calico Alphas and Seven Paper Die cut.
You can grab it over at the Paper Issues store for 20% off when you used code: Mary-Ann.

If you want to play along.  There are prizes to be won.  You could win a $20 gift certificate to the Paper Issues Store.  Just link up your project by November 8th for a chance to win.

18 - Paper camellia

For 18 years, (this November)  I will be married to this man.  We dated, if you will, for 4 years before that.  Sometimes, it doesn't seem that long.  I still feel too young to married almost 20 years.
Together, we have seen and done a lot of fun and amazing things.  We have traveled with the military, and traveled on vacations.  We are raising a beautiful boy with a big heart and have had several pets til the end.  When I say 18 years, that seems like forever, but when I look back, it doesn't seem that long at all.
This photo was taken at the batting cages here locally.  The sun shinning in the back is pretty cool but Randy thinks its a halo!  If it were, then it would be over MY head, not his!

Here is what I created with the September Paper Camellia Scrapbooking Kit.
I am over on the Paper Camellia blog today where I am share this layout.
When I saw the cork numbers, this is what popped in my head!  Well, the idea with the numbers anyway.  The rest built from there.  The majority of this layout is created with Crate Paper Wonder and the brads are from Simple Stories.

PS - the date stamp you see, that is from Studio Calico and it is NOT included in your main scrapbooking kit.  It is just a super cool date punch that I just bought!

FL Vacation - A Flair for Buttons

Good morning.  For this layout, I searched through our older Disney trip photos to document this mini Indiana Jones, capturing a really large snake!  To capture the entire feel for the moment you needed to see all the photos.  They tell the complete story of his excitement.  If only, when you open to this page in my album, I could have recorded his roar for even more effect.  Maybe it wasn't quite a roar, but that snake knew he was in trouble.

Please head over to the A Flair for Buttons blog to see closeups and the flair that I used.

chilling like bob dylan - Weekend Guest

I was so excited to be asked to join Els Brige on her blog with The Weekend Guest series!  She has a different designer every weekend for the entire summer.  We were all asked to create something, anything that inspired us.  I chose to create with Summer Vibes from Simple Stories.  It also happens to be a scrap lift from Tarrah McLean from over at Paper Issues Friends & Fans facebook page.  Sketches and scrap lifting can be so much fun and inspiring.

For the entire blog post, please head over to Els blog Be Stamped.  Check out my post and many others as we join he in celebrating different scrapbooking styles throughout the summer.

Love This Man - A Flair for Buttons

I want to share a layout I created, honoring and expressing my love for this man.  My husband.  My son's father.  Of all the things my husband does, he is best at being a father.  He and my boy are so very tight and are inseparable.  They love each other to the moon and back, and back to the moon, then back again, 5 gazillion times twice!  I decided that it was a great time for this layout with Father's Day fast approaching.  For those of you that forgot, it is this Sunday, you better get busy!

This layout is over on the A Flair for Button Blog today.  Please stop over and say hello.

100+ Miles - The Cut Shoppe

Sad to say this will be my last post over at The Cut Shoppe.  I have enjoyed my time over there, creating next to really talented ladies.  I am sad to go.  I won't be far though.  I will continue to created with plethora of files she has provided to her team.  She has been very very generous and I am grateful for the opportunity to get to know her more and work with her designs.

Here is my last post:

My boys went on a 4-wheeling trip in Maine last year with my parents.  They all thought they were going 80 miles but ended up doing over 100!  Roman complained of a sore butt for days.

I will still be around with other design teams, just the end of this fun trip!

Sweet Sticker Face

I recently came across this fun picture of my boy with his grandparents.
He was only 4 at the time and super cute I must say.  Where has the time gone?  I don't remember him this tiny.  Anyway, I love the printable from Paper Issues that says "I (with a big heart) your face."  Well, I certainly do in these photos.  He is so cheesy!

Head over to Paper Issues blog to be inspired by other Design Team member using various

I used a recent Studio Calico kit for this project and a alphabet cut file from The Cut Shoppe.  Yup, there is pink on this boy layout.  Thank goodness Grammie is the photo too:o)

Thank you for stopping by.  Head over to Paper Issues to get all the free printable they have.  They also have a few free cut files.  Go HERE.

CHUMS - A Flair for Buttons

Today I have a project over at A Flair for Buttons.  Shelley flair are absolutely beautiful and blend well on any project.  I love to use them.  Here is what I recently created with her flair.

My boy does not venture up to the man cave without his entourage.  Just recently he started going up to the room by himself.  Or, without another person.  I wandered up recently to see what was going on and this is what I found!

I have to show you the sets of flair that I picked from.  You can see the set as a whole, is pretty bright and colorful.  I selected out the soft muted flair to add to my project.

She has a gazillion more sets.  Go over HERE to check them out.

We Are Lucky - The Cut Shoppe

Head over to The Cut Shoppe to read why I am hesitant to share this layout.
When things don't go your way, do you give up?  Not when you have a deadline:o)
Check it out the story HERE.  Plus, you will wanna head there anyway to get the most recent cut files.  They are pretty awesome.  So, secret is, as a DT member for TCS, we get to see a preview of what is to come.  I can not wait for the next set of files, think they just might be my favorite!
 But here is the layout.

No, your eyes are not playing tricks, this is a crazy app that distorts your face.  My phone was inundated with crazy photos like this.  I narrowed it down for your pleasure:o)
Crazy kid.
