Love This - Paper Issues

Morning all.
I'm using up my button stash.  It's for a challenge over at Paper Issues called Buttoned Up.
It is challenging you to use up buttons that you have had forever!  You know you have them.
I cut my papers, from Doodlebug Dragon Tails, into pie shaped pieces.  Used the rock looking paper to place my buttons on.  The buttons I chose were the same colors as the collection!

Grab what you need from the Paper Issues Store for 20% off when you use my code: Mary-Ann at checkout.

So, my boy starts hollering, MOM!  MOM! Of course I came running.  MY EYE, MY EYE!  Not funny at the time but I did make him reenact it so I could take the photos.  Little sucker!

Hoppin' Down the Bunny Trail - Elle's Studio

Morning Elle's friends!

I am super excited to share my Elle's Studio layout with you today!  I had so much fun creating this multi-patterned title.  I was at a crop with several other friends who were seriously mad at me!  I kept singing my title, which then got stuck in their heads for the entire day!  I thought it was hilarious!  But seriously, look how fun it is.  Each word, using a different patterned paper from the Spring 6x6 paper pack.  Paired with the larger Chocolate Acrylic boy Bunny, was a bonus for the bottom of my spread!  All from Elle's Studio!

Noteworthy 2, Puffy Alpha Stickers in Teal, Steel Craft Die, Large Jane Alpha Stamps, Springtime 6x6 paper pad, Large Jane # Stamp and Steel Craft Die, Family Fun 6, Live Laugh Love Floral, Spring Puffy, Tiny Everyday Label Stickers

For under my photos, I cut strips of various 12x12 colorful papers that would match the color scheme I was trying to achieve for the layout.

I added the Tiny Everyday Label Stickers that matched my project.  The phrases just happened to be perfect!  I used foam for a little bit of added dimension.  Layering them over the photos helps bring your eye to that photo.

As much as I love ALL the acrylics in the March release, I really love how this 'guy' stands out against all the pastels and white that I used.  Directly under my title, was the perfect place for him to get cozy!

I know you have seen these amazing Large Jane Alpha Stamps and Dies.  But, have you really seen them?  There are 4 different patterns to stamp in.  Giving you 4 completely different looks.  I used the Large Jane Alphabet Stamp - Outline, helping the letters stand out over just cut patterned paper letters.

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to hit the shop and check out these large alphas.  You are gonna love the different patterns. Don't forget to tag Elle's Studio when you use them.  We definitely want to see you getting your craft on too!

Happy Days - Technique Tuesday

Hey peeps.
Today, I am sharing a layout that is 'loosely' based a a layout over at Paper Issues. It's for the Scraplift challenge.  I did start my layout with the intent of coping the original, but it veered off track pretty quickly.  I used My Mind's Eye that I grabbed from the Paper Issues store.

The real cool part of this layout, is the stamps I used that pair perfectly with this collection.  It is from Technique Tuesday.  Its called Fresh Peonies Stamp Set and I also used the Metal Dies that coordinate.  I ask used the Build a Birdhouse Crafting Dies that I tucked in small houses throughout the layout.
You should go take a look at what is happening over at Technique Tuesday.  They have some really fun things to play with.

Here is Jen McMurtrey's original layout.

Legoland Florida - Elle's Studio

Yup, forgot to share this layout with you too.
It is also from February.  I used the February Kit and Ad-ons from Elle's Studio.
But, like I told ya already, most of the February release items are still available.

I used a cut file to create my rainbow and another file to create the clouds.  More colorful photos from Legoland that I absolutely love them!

So, I do have an affiliate link with Elle's Studio.  This gives me a small portion of the proceeds that go through me.  So, when you click on anything from this post that takes you over to Elle's, and make a purchase, I get a small reward! YAY.

Charming Trap - Paper Issues

The Sassy Scallops Challenge over at Paper Issues is super fun.

I gotta tell ya, I have used almost every single bit and piece of the Doodlebug Lots o' Luck collection.  I am out of paper, and only have a few ephemera pieces left.
When I was assigned Sassy Scallops for todays post, I knew the rainbows, from the Bonnie Lass 12x12 sheet, were going to be part of my layout.  I carefully cut them into a scallop pattern, cut it in half and layered them below my photos.

This was the year we used an oatmeal container to try to catch the leprechaun.
We missed.  Again.

Play along over at the PIFF page and you are automatically entered in the drawing for a prize.

Happy Easter - Elle's Studio

Hey there!
Still playing with the March Kit from Elle's Studio and it is fabulous.
here is my second layouts from the kit.  Like I said before, I find it easy to do, since everything coordinates in the kit and all the ad-ons for the month match perfectly also.

They also provide a set of Cut Files, Printables and Print and Cut
Labels that match the kit each month.

I focused on the Kit and the March ad-ons for this layout too.
I LOVE the little acrylic bunnies.  I did not want the shiny side, so I flipped them and used the duller, cloudy side.  I also cut the title from the cut files offered for March.

Man, my kid knows the rules.  Our house, our rules.  We say 'sit with the bunny', he sits with the bunny.  I just love that I captured him turning and talking to him.  He really is a good sport.  I guess we have done it for so long that he just goes right along with it.
(He sat with him this year too.  3 years later!)

So, I do have an affiliate link with Elle's Studio.  This gives me a small portion of the proceeds that go through me.  So, when you click on anything from this post that takes you over to Elle's, make a purchase, I get a small reward! YAY.

Decorating Fun - Elle's Studio

Hey there!
I have been playing with the March Kit from Elle's Studio and it is fabulous.
I have already created 2 layouts in just little time.  I find it easy to do, since everything coordinates in the kit and all the ad-ons for the month match perfectly also.

They also provide a set of Cut Files, Printables and Print and Cut
Labels that match the kit each month.

I focused on the Kit and the March ad-ons for this layout.   I used a photo from when we were up in Maine and we decorated eggs at my Dad and Linda's and bought my mom too.
I was surprised that my Dad actually participated!  Look how pretty and bright these eggs turned out!
Below is the cut file that I used for the Bunny and the Cloud.  I cut the bunny out of vellum too, to soften the pattern of the paper.  Oh, the 6x6 paper was too small, so I butt them together, and cut.  It did split into two pieces,  but this easily came together and the vellum makes that connection line disappear!

I did paint my eggs with colors that I had on hand.  I sanded the edges to soften the color and distress the edges.

So, I do have an affiliate link with Elle's Studio.  This gives me a small portion of the proceeds that go through me.  So, when you click on anything from this post that takes you over to Elle's, and make a purchase, I get a small reward! YAY.

Happy St. Patricks Day - Paper Issues

When ever a new paper collection comes out, a new holiday or season appears, Paper Issues produces  new cut files.  Best part is, they are ALL FREE.  ALL THE TIME.
Go HERE to check them all out.  Download them all if you want.
If you place an order use code: Mary-Ann for 20% off.

I was out of town for this event.  They tried.  They did not succeed in trapping the leprechaun.  Each time I have participated, I didn't catch the slippery sucker either.  But, it is worth documenting especially with this super cute collection from Doodlebug.  Paper Issues sells it, of course!

St. Patrick's Day - Paper Issues

Morning friends.
Ready to start those St. Patrick's Days layouts with all the fun products in the Paper Issues shop?
I got a head start using a sketch that Kelly Feldman designed for Keep it Sketchy in March.
Sketches really help me get a jump start.  I am far behind on documenting St. Patty's day, so, receiving this product and a fresh sketch, everything came together really nicely.

This sketch would be fun for any topic.  Grab your stash and play along over on the PIFF FB page.
